Leaf Project...

Michael had a leaf project where he was to create an animal out of the fall leaves.  We started playing iwht the first leaf, it was rather large, but after drying for so longer it became brittle, and Michael saw a Frog in the remainder of the leaf... looked good.  We then thought well we cant just do one leaf, right?  So he thought us this cute butterfly.  Good job buddy.  2nd Grade.

On Sunday we decieded to make 2 gallons of Chili... We canned 7 quarts and it will be great.  I think next I want to try canning spagetti sauce... should be easy enough.

My couponing experience...

The toothpaste, power drinks, and power bars, Cheez-its were free with my coupons...  Everything else I had an 82% savings... total bill of $176.00 I paid about $40.00 Yay! I did good.  Gonna be doing another coupon adventure this weekend, wish me luck.

Our First Experience at Making Salsa....

We made our first salsa... Tomatillo Salsa... Our neighbor grew the tomatillo's and gave a bag full.  When I came back in the kitchen I found Mike in agony and the smell was harsh... cutting all those onions... poor guy... It turned out great.  

Halloween is in the air.

Race Day

Michael has now graduated to a Wolf Scout.  He is enjoying the activities of being able to behave like a boy should.  He has made so many wonderful friends through his scouting experience so far.  He won most of his races with all the hot air in him.  LOL  I do have to say he got a little pissed off towards the end, kids started cheating, and this really affected the boy.  He gave me his boat and went and sat down, then said I want to go home and they do is cheat.  I felt bad for him.  He always trys to do so good and then to have his peers treat him like that is really frustrating to a mom.  I feel proud to have a boy that very passionate about doing it right!  I love ya michael.. You're my bid heart ♥♥

I will post more about his scouting year as we go.  There is always lots to do and now that I have taken on a bigger role in his scouting, there will be more to post.

Decorating for Halloween

Michael and I decided that it would be ok to decorate so early in October... Its Halloween for crying out loud... love this time of year...

I will post pics of the finished yard of decorations, once I get my honey on the ladder to hang my spider...lol  Wish me luck...

New Addition to the Family...

Meet Mr. Louie... Such a Pug Face!!!

Mr. Louie has had quite the life already.  In the picture above he was 9 weeks, a week after this photo he decided that he wanted to go exploring.  He escaped from the house on a Saturday into the backyard of 8 arces and the Saline River.  We still hadnt seen him on Monday and the rain began... 4 days of just flooding came, I thought for sure that some animal had gotten him, or an owl or hawk flew down and picked him up, or washed down the river... 9 days later, I am looking outside and see something running up from the river... and would you beleive that it was Mr. Louie... He was so skinny and dirty and covered in ticks... I still am in amazement that this little guy survived.  We take him home love him and care for him and a week later... BAM... broken arm... :(   Little louie was in a cast for 6 weeks and is now Limpy Louie...  We love him.

MIchael's 2nd Grade Experience

This is his first day of School...

Michael has started on to a new chapter in his education, 2nd grade.  He is going to Pleasant Ridge in Saline.  We deceided to put him in public school just because tuition at St Francis is too much money this year.  He said on his first day of school, that he had an awesome day.  Ms Soenen is his teacher this year.  I hope to keep journaling about his experiences.  Fingers crossed.!!!!

A New Beginning

My sister is moving in!!! Yay!!!  Looking for a new beginning and we are so happy she has chosen to come be with us.  Little man is going to love having his Auntie around.  Jen we love you and support you. 

I'm Back...

Well as you can see from the last blog, nearly a year ago, I didn't do as I wanted. It must be that damn ADD, thats why I am so bad at housework...LOL  Keep you posted if can concentrate... :)
